This weekend has to go down as one of the best in our time in London. The weather has been fantastic, even better than Portugal, and we have had an absolute ball catching up with everyone for one last time.

The festivities got started on Friday night when we headed straight for the Cock and Hen from the airport to help celebrate Michael’s birthday.

So we rock back into London and who of all people is in town – Henry Morgan!! Who says it is a business trip but the only business I have seen him do is smash jamacian beer.

He is staying at 57 Broughton Road (the safe house) with Skye and Michael and we enjoyed numerous beers early into Saturday morning.

On both Saturday and Sunday we have headed to the park to enjoy the sun and help celebrate Simon West’s birthday and also the post wedding drinks for Reilly & Melissa.

It has been quite sad and we will miss all the friends that we have made here over the last 5 years and we hope to see everyone in the not too distant future.

The next of couple of days will be spent tying up any loose ends, popping into our old offices and doing a bit of last minute sight seeing.

So the next post will be from Asia – stay posted…

So we had our farewell party last night and it was great to catch up with everyone!

The night is a bit hazy but I think everyone had a fun time including the gorilla.

So we are off tomorrow and the 3 month trip begins.

We will keep you posted…..

Both Louise and I resigned from our jobs today which is a great relief and allows us now to focus on all the things we have to do before we leave. It really hit home how much Louise will be missed at her work as she has made alot of great friends at Imperial.

For me it will be strange when i do leave UKTI as I have been there for pretty much all our time here and I have learnt alot of new skills and changed the way I think about online communication.

But with the end of our jobs comes three months of travel and not having to worry about deadlines and meetings.

So we will all be thinking of you when we are sitting on the beach in South East Asia.
