So after our last post we headed to Bar in Montenegro to board the train to Belgrade. We thought we would spend a couple of hours exploring the Old Town of Bar before the train left at 9pm. But due to the luggage room shuttıng at 5pm we ended up havıng to kill 7 hours iın one restaurant makiıng each drink last as long as possible.

Fiınally the train arrıved and we were lucky to be placed in a cabin with 3 American fashion students. Our cabin was completed by Milan a student from Montenegro who was travelling to Belgrade for an universıty exam.

Even in the dark the train journey was fantastic travelling through mountains and canyons. It would have been fantastic to see it ın the daylıght. A few interuptions for passport checks and we made it to Belgrade at 8am in the morning ready for a whirlwind visit of Belgrade.

A quick walk around town and a kebab and we were on our way to the airport for our flight to Istanbul.

Hi what a shame you could’nt stay longer in Belgrade but a little time is better than no time. Caught up with Bec & Iain on Sunday & we have your stuff. Good to see them both. Louise what are the flowers–they look like tulips? Look out for Melissa she is on one of the Anzac Tours–I know there could be lots but you never know!! Enjoy Istanbul xx Mum/Dad
